Ensoft
Ensoft's project management processes consolidated into a single internal platform
The Situation
Ensoft ran project management through spreadsheets and a set of disconnected tools. Because project status, resource allocation and progress were never held in one place, every report had to be assembled by hand.
Off-the-shelf project management tools did not match the company's own workflow or terminology. Rather than reshape its processes around a tool, Ensoft wanted an internal application that reflected those processes directly.
How We Worked
Process Analysis
We documented the existing project flow, roles and reporting requirements together with the teams.
The value of a custom application depends entirely on how accurately it reflects the process it replaces.
Application Design
We designed the data model and screen flows so that projects, tasks and time entries work as one connected system.
For a tool used daily, keeping the number of screens and clicks low was the priority.
Development and Rollout
We built the application, set up role-based access control and rolled it out to the teams.
A phased rollout let existing working habits carry over without interruption.
